About 100,000 square feet of new buildings are under construction at The Plaza at 2534 in Johnstown.

A drive-through Starbucks Coffee and Culver’s Frozen Custard and ButterBurgers are the newest additions announced by developer Nick Christensen at Chrisland Inc. in a news release issued Tuesday. Spring openings are planned.

Eheart Flooring and Design’s new 30,000-square-foot store will open by April.

Ethan Allen recently broke ground on its 20,000-square-foot flagship store and is scheduled to open later this year.

In March, the Bank of Colorado Plaza, a four-story building developed by Everitt MacMillan Development, will be occupied by Burns Marketing and Communications, LBN Insurance Agency and a branch of Bank of Colorado.

Nearby, Verizon Wireless recently bought a site and is scheduled to open by December. Home State Bank also bought a site at The Plaza at 2534.

The Plaza at 2534 is part of a development planned for the southeast corner of Interstate 25 and U.S. Highway 34 in Johnstown.
